Scientific Interest
My scientific interest regards the approximation by finite elements of partial
differential equations. In particular I worked on:

Error estimates for mixed finite elements applied to elliptic second
order problems and to the MindlinReissner model for plates of moderate
thickness.
 Domain decomposition methods for hyperbolic systems, for transport
equations and for advection dominated advetciondiffusion problems.
 Approximation of eigenproblems arising in different fields as
fluidstructure interactions and electromagnetics.
 Evolution problem in moving domains.
 Fluidstructure interaction systems.
 Immersed boundary method.
 Eigenvalue problems for PDE.
 Adaptive finite element methods.
